This custom-built Bowman 47, completed in 1992, is a modern classic with meticulous upgrades. Originally an Australian Navy sail training vessel, MoonFlower has sailed worldwide since 2006, flagged and registered in Australia. Built by SunYachts in 1989 and finished in 1992 under Lloyds of London survey by Capt. James Black, she was converted to a fast and comfortable Cutter rigged Sloop from the classic Yawl design.
Featuring teak interiors, stainless steel on deck, and a custom teak parquet floor, MoonFlower is equipped for world cruising with modern electronics. In 2019, her hull received Navy Blue Awlgrip paint, and decks were painted white in 2018. Trinidad Antifouling and a new cutlass bearing were applied during her 2019 haul-out (5 coats). MoonFlower is a unique opportunity to own a special vessel at a fraction of her cost.
Currently available for inspection in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Offers for this serious bluewater cruiser are expected above $ 165k. The owner is selling due to family commitments, cutting short his circumnavigation.
